Wagman Construction Announces New President 

(York, Pa.) Wagman Construction, Inc. announces Jan Wagner has joined the general contracting firm as President. He is based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in York, Pa. 

Wagner has over 25 years of management and leadership experience on diverse types of building construction throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Jan holds degrees in civil engineering and architectural engineering from Drexel University and is very engaged within the community as a member in Rotary Club of York, York College Civil Engineering Advisory Board, the Engineering Society of York, Boy Scouts, and Associated Builders & Contractors.

What new Maryland laws go into effect Oct. 1?

An update to Maryland’s hate crimes law, named for slain Army 2nd Lt. Richard Collins III, is one of several anti-discrimination measures going into effect Oct. 1. Other notable bills address crime, the environment and health care, including an infectious disease mandate named for Olivia Paregol, a University of Maryland freshman who died during a 2018 campus outbreak.
