Hanover, MD, January 25, 2022 — Keller is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Drooff as President of Keller, North America.Eric is succeeding former President James Hind following his retirement. After earning his BS in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University, Eric spent several years working for general contractors in the New York Metro area before joining Hayward Baker (now Keller) in 1992 as a Project Manager. He was promoted to Vice President, Senior Vice President, and in 2015 he became the president of Hayward Baker. In 2018, Eric was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Keller North America. He has been actively involved in ASCE technical committees, DFI, and is a member of The Moles.Eric stated, “James leaves Keller North America in great shape to sustain and grow our business. I am both humbled and proud to get a turn at leading such talented and hardworking people.”

What new Maryland laws go into effect Oct. 1?

An update to Maryland’s hate crimes law, named for slain Army 2nd Lt. Richard Collins III, is one of several anti-discrimination measures going into effect Oct. 1. Other notable bills address crime, the environment and health care, including an infectious disease mandate named for Olivia Paregol, a University of Maryland freshman who died during a 2018 campus outbreak.
